Albert retired from the State of Connecticut in 1992, where he headed the Inheritance Tax Department for fifteen years. He was with the Department of Revenue Services for 32 years as a tax attorney and assistant Commissioner. He has litigated tax and probate cases in the Superior Court, Connecticut Appellate Court and Connecticut Supreme Court. Albert is involved with Hospice, Samaritan and the YMCA.
