Law firm Ericson, Scalise & Mangan, P.C., with offices in New Britain and Avon, is pleased to welcome Attorney Catherine (Cate) Craig to its growing firm to serve clients in the practice areas of trust and estate planning, Medicaid / Title XIX, probate, business succession planning, and residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Attorney Craig earned her undergraduate degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her Juris Doctor from Quinnipiac University School of Law, Magna Cum Laude. She was inducted into the legal honor society Phi Delta Phi and was the recipient of The John L. Hanny Memorial Scholarship, The Sandra and Martin Lax Endowed Scholarship, and the Distinguished Academic Achievement Awards for Civil Procedure I, Mediation, Healthcare Compliance Law, and Representing Clients.

Trained in Alternative Dispute Resolution processes, Craig’s professional experience includes a Sappern Fellow in the Family Services Center of the Hartford Superior Court, intern at The Children’s Law Center of CT, and Associate Attorney in estate administration and estate planning.

Craig is a member of the Greater New Britain Chamber of Commerce and Connecticut Bar Association’s Trust and Estate and Elder Law sections. She serves on the Board of Directors for Healing Hoofbeats, a non-profit organization that specializes in service for individuals, families, and veterans to overcome trauma through Focused Equine Assisted Psychotherapy. She is also an active fundraiser for the Amyloidosis Foundation, helping to finance finding a cure.
